Hey Shiva By Satyen
After about 2 years of procrastination, Satyen finally came up with his first single in collaboration with Abhishek Kunni. About a month back he sent me the raw version of the song and I was sold. They composed the melody in less than 2 days!! The song is free-versed.
The song is composed in the key of D#. The song begins in double harmonic major (IIb and VIb) - the darkest scale of music. The flattened note VIb is occasionally substituted with VI to release the tension. The song has a minimal arrangement. Most part of the song is backed by tanpura creating a drone effect resulting in a lack of accompanying harmony. I have tried to keep the chords as close as possible.
